Incorporating Bodyweight Exercises into Your Workout
Find yourself relying on machines during resistance training? Too worried that using free-weights such as barbells and dumbbells might cause injury? Starting with bodyweight exercises can provide some of the great benefits of free-weights without the added risk. Machines are generally designed to isolate a specific muscle group whereas free-weight and bodyweight exercises utilize multiple muscle groups and also require muscular balance and stability. Using more muscle groups means developing more lean muscle tissue AND burning more fat. Use these 3 simple exercises (modifications included) to add some variety and difficulty to your workouts.
